Care instructions
Always test an offcut or sample prior to working the leather with tools, adhesives or heat. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.
We use our favourite Nappa leather to craft your custom small fold over purse. It's a soft leather that's also durable, as is the print on top. Your design is bound to the leather and therefore won't peel or crack off. Instead, it'll gradually age with the leather which will get softer over time. The interior and sides are made from Nappa as well, which is smooth and black. We paint the edges black to protect the leather and strengthen the sides of the purse.
After you've designed your custom leather fold over purse, we start by printing the leather with your design. This panel is printed with special technology that ensures the print will be long-lasting and highly detailed. Then this panel is stitched to the smooth black Nappa bits that make up the rest of the purse. Once the button stuff is added and everything is stitched together, we quality check it to make sure you'll receive a stellar personalised photo gift.
When you create your personalised leather fold over purse, we recommend using a pattern or a photo collage rather than one single photo. This is because the panel you're designing will be folded around the purse, so the photo will be obscured by the folds. The back will look upside down compared to the inside and outside flaps, which can also be mitigated by using a repeating design. Use our photo montage maker or upload a design that you've created.
